About Launch View Vineyard
Set against the hills on the western edge of the Sta. Rita Hills AVA, Launch View Vineyard is one of our most distinct vineyard sites, with an even more distinct name. Just over 6 acres in size, the vineyard is perched above Lompoc, with long views toward the Pacific and a clear sight of rocket launches from nearby Vandenberg Spaceforce Base.
Coastal influence
This part of the AVA is known for its cold coastal influence and highly acclaimed Pinot Noirs. Fresh marine air rolls in daily from the west, cooling the vineyard even in the heart of summer. The site elevation and steady breeze slows ripening, conditions especially well-suited for our estate single varietal Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Under these conditions, the grapes develop depth without overripeness, and acidity without harshness, drawing out nuance in the fruit.

Kimsey Vineyard
Tucked along the southern edge of the Ballard Canyon AVA in Solvang, Kimsey Vineyard is where our deepest roots are planted. It’s a 22-acre vineyard of rolling hills, laid out to take advantage of the natural contours and exposure of the site.
